Groundwater Distribution System
Some photos became corrupted; what isn't pictured is the 4“ HDPE landscaping pipe running from the groundwater basin near the foundation to the distribution cistern at the end of the trench. The distribution cistern is bottomless, hole-sawed with approximately 40-50 holes, and wrapped in landscape cloth in order to attempt to stop the entry of sediment into the cistern. The surrounding area was then filled in with 3/4” crushed stone all around and beneath it, about 3-4 to divert water evenly through the all around the surrounding area. Crush stone was also added to the cistern itself, as crushed stone is an excellent medium for water to travel through.
